How does the extension download watermark-free videos?
When you type a script and play/render previews in the editor, HeyGen renders the avatar speaking video onto a raw, clean S3 stream. The watermark is dynamically applied by the browser UI. The extension intercepts the raw clean stream directly before the watermark is overlayed.
Does it consume any credits?
No! It grabs the raw previews while you are editing. This is a direct local workaround that consumes zero rendering credits.
Will it download multiple files of the same video?
No. The extension implements a persistent database lookup check against your local download history. If a video has already been downloaded, it registers it in your side panel but skips downloading a duplicate.
What is the "New Correlation Algorithm"?
It is a smart filtering system. It extracts the 32-character project ID from your active tab URL (e.g., create-v4/8a7647...) and matches it with the video S3 stream directory. It only downloads videos belonging to the active project, preventing stock guides, avatars, and templates from flooding your folder.
Why does my page reload when I open the side panel?
To catch raw stream URLs, the extension must hook into the network listeners before the player initiates. Refreshing the active tab on launch ensures that these background sniffers activate cleanly and intercept all requests.
